You can only perform 1 Air Dash after leaving the ground. After an air dash, you can cancel the attack into an aerial. This is great for maneuvering through the air, dodging attacks or getting closer to an enemy. Air Dashing: A new ability that many characters can perform, inputting a dash motion in the air allows you to perform a short Air Dash.Character Overhauls: Many of the game's veterans have received reworks to their movesets or entire overhauls in order to make those characters feel more modern & mesh well with newer characters.Alongside those, the player can also Jump & utilize platforms scattered around stages, Shield against attacks, Grab enemies & toss them around, utilize a wide variety of Items that spawn on stage or unleash a powerful Final Smash if they have broken a Smash Ball or filled up their Final Smash Meter. Players have access to Normal attacks & Special attacks, which change depending on if they are in the air or the ground & what direction they are holding the control stick. Unlike other fighting games, each character controls virtually the same. Getting launched off-screen results in a KO & a point for whoever landed the final blow.
When players are damaged, their percentage goes up, increasing the distance in which they are launched. Unlike other fighting games, which often have a health system, by default, it uses a percentage system.
